The Performer

The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) plays a critical role in protecting Nevada's communities, natural resources, and public lands through wildfire suppression, emergency response, and aviation operations. At SkyFest, guests will have the opportunity to see NDF's aerial firefighting capabilities up close through both a flight demonstration and a static aircraft display. The organization's aviation program provides rapid response to wildfires and other emergencies throughout the state, showcasing the skill, dedication, and technology required to protect Nevada's landscapes and communities.

The Aircraft

SkyFest guests will have the opportunity to see two Nevada Division of Forestry helicopters at the event, with one aircraft participating in the flight demonstration while the other will be available for up-close viewing in the static display area.

Bell 205A-1

The Bell 205A-1 is a versatile utility helicopter widely used for aerial firefighting, personnel transport, cargo operations, and emergency response missions. Operated by the Nevada Division of Forestry, the aircraft is equipped to support wildfire suppression efforts across Nevada's challenging terrain. Bell 212 Single

Joining the Bell 205A-1 is the Bell 212 Single, a modernized firefighting helicopter designed to provide enhanced performance, operational flexibility, and mission effectiveness. The aircraft supports wildfire suppression, aerial reconnaissance, and emergency response missions, helping NDF crews rapidly respond to incidents throughout the state. With its specialized firefighting capabilities and advanced upgrades, the Bell 212 Single represents the continued evolution of Nevada's aerial firefighting fleet.
